From a very young age girls are expectd to look „good“. When you hit puberty and your body starts changing you can expirience a lot of unwanted attention that you dont know how to deal with. It can lead to hating your own body, eating disorders, other mental illness. It can lead to hating your own sex, other women, it can cause severe trauma and personality disorders. When you become obsessed about how you look, and start putting that as your nubmer one priority you are playing their game. One of the most effective ways to smash patriarchy is to refuse their standards and ideals of what a woman should be. Another one is being vegan and not watching porn. In a world of liberal feminism there is a lot of hypocrisy disguised as „body positivity“. An example is free the nipple movement that was invented by a man. See what I mean? Women „owning their sexuality“ are deemed „empowering“ those who dare to criticize are shaming prudes. You have every right to do what you want with yourself and your body, but beware of the message you're sending. Your sex, your womanhood are powerful tools agains the man. Use it with care and caution.
